Sweet Sunflowers.

This was a fresh and fun bridal shower for Danielle, a 25 year old marrying her high school sweetheart. She has a love for sunflowers and anything fresh and colorful which was the motivation for her backyard bridal shower.

The centerpieces were fresh flowers, apples and votive candles.
The bar with the cake featured pictures of the bride and groom from their childhood.

Sparkling Sendoff.

I'm in love with everything about this picture; the location, sparklers, dress and the true show-stoppers, those amazing blue heels!

A Classic Connecticut Affair.

This is Chris and Ashley's traditional wedding in Connecticut. It was a beautiful August wedding with a church service and large reception with nearly 200 guests. Though they did not have a definite theme, purple was their color of choice. The bridesmaid dresses, flowers, table runners, cake and even the ribbons on the wedding programs were all picked to match one another.

The groomsmen wore purple ties and purple flowers.

Along with their beautiful four-tier cake, they had an amazing dessert bar that featured a chocolate fountain (not pictured).

Each of the twenty tables featured a centerpiece with a tall glass vase and three purple hydrangeas, rose petals and votive candles. Male guests received homemade chocolate chip cookies as favors and the women were given heart shaped cookie cutters and cookie recipes.

This is a very lackluster picture of their beautiful "DIY" programs (made by my sister-in-law and yours truly). Inside the program we had a page for their favorite Bible verses, one for the order of ceremony, one to list their bridal party and attendants and the last page was left to thank their family and friends.

Romance in Texas

This is Libby and Ben's take on a charming western wedding in Texas. The bride wore a stunning dress by Melissa Sweet from Priscilla of Boston and the groom's attire was by J. Crew. Their DIY (do-it-yourself) flowers and dessert bar are full of inspiration.

Let's Have Cake...and Pie!

Nothing says fall like the color orange. Pumpkins and gourds are a simple and fairly inexpensive way to make your wedding feel seasonal and rustic. Here are a few more ways you can use pumpkins at an event.

I'm loving the pumpkins in the aisle as well as the pumpkin being used as a cooler. These are very cute touches that are sure to impress your guests.

This is a great example of how you can transform the average pumpkin into something a little more flashy. This is a easy fix that you can do with glitter or sugar crystals.

This is a fun way to dress up and personalize a food or drink station.

Pearls, lace and beads are other great ways to make your pumpkins pop!
