Thumbprints

(These personalized and affordable Fabluster rings are a unique alternative to the average wedding bands. They range from $45 to $450. The bands will be a constant reminder of the imprint your husband or wife have made in your life. It is sure to be a family heirloom for many generations to come.)

This could be a fun alternative to your run-of-the-mill guest book. Instead of having your guests sign their names in a book, have them also leave their thumbprint and well-wishes.

You didn't think we would leave thumbprint cookies out, did you? A fun way to incorporate the cookies into your wedding festivities would be to feature them on the reception table (just inside the entry way) alongside the alternative guest book. On the table you could display a cute, kitschy sign that would invite attendants to 'leave a thumbprint and take a thumbprint'.

These would be a great gift to give a groom on his wedding day. They are a small detail that would carry on the thumbprint theme.
This is an idea of how you could incorporate thumbprints into a wedding program or Save-the-Date (STD). If you're looking for a simple DIY project, this would be perfect for you.

Like the picture above shows, thumbprints can also be used on favors or favor tags for a personalized and creative touch.

A large portrait like the one above would be a great way of adding texture and a little bit of quirk to your wedding reception. This would also be an easy way to incorporate your wedding colors into a canvas. After the wedding, take it home and hang it in your living room or bedroom as a memento of your big day.

Special thanks go out to guest blogger and Public Relations professional, Brittany, for inspiring this entry.
